Objectives:
The objective is to raise awareness of the population of Fnaidiq in general and of students in particular on environmental issues, risks and hazards connected to the use of contaminated water, importance of respecting the natural heritage and common resources, while at the same time encouraging the reduction of water wastage.
Description:
- Developing an awareness curriculum on water to implement it in 2 schools (Al Bara’a & Al Ahliyye)
- Training 15 teachers to implement the designed awareness curriculum
- A village environmental awareness campaign organized by students
- Extra-curricular environmental awareness activities for students
- Village exhibition

Objectives:
Provide a detailed assessment on the flora within the pilot area of the National Park as well as a list of plant species found in the area.
Description:
A report produced by Dr Elsa Sattout on basis of extensive field assessments performed by Dr Sattout and Eng. Dominique Choueiter.

Increasing the Attractiveness of Scientific Subjects for Students  [↑]

Objectives:
This project aims at making scientific subjects more appealing for students, by organizing mobile exhibitions on earthquakes in secondary public schools, offering students an interactive participatory learning experience, thus increasing the joy of learning. Prior to the exhibition a teachers’ training will be organized to build their capacity and enable them to guide the students and properly manage the exhibition. To ensure project sustainability an educational kit on earthquakes will be provided to the schools.

- Training of 37 science and geography teachers
- Mobile exhibitions on earthquakes in 14 secondary public schools for students
- Developing an educational kit and distributing it to 14 secondary public schools

Description:
- Environmental Training for 64 Teachers from 25 schools
- Developing an environmental education tool kit in Arabic displaying the natural richness of the area and distributing it to 38 schools
- Qammou’a Environmental Day for children
- Walk in nature and cleaning up campaign
- Interactive environmental play for children from 6 to 10 years old
- Documentary and discussion, art from recycled garbage, etc
